Question

Transferring number to new carrier

My daughter’s phone is on my account. She is moving to the USA and would like to use her number with a new carrier. Is that possible and How do we do that? What’s the process with Koodo?

Just need the phone number and account number and the new carrier will take care of the rest.

You’ll receive one final bill from Koodo with anything you left owing.

And I’m assuming that it’s another Canadian carrier or VOIP service with a US package that she’s moving to yes? As you cannot port a Canadian number to a US carrier.

She would need to request that the new carrier port her number in. The koodo line would need to remain active until the port is complete, at which point it would be automatically cancelled. I'm pretty sure that you can't port a Canadian number to a US carrier though, if that's what you're looking to do.
