I received a call from 18663601448 today offering me a tablet I was eligible for. They requested some verification info such as my PIN.
I wanted to check to ensure this number is not a scam and is actually Koodo. I know there is a similar article where someone asked the same thing, and it was confirmed as legit. But I did more research online and found a number of other people still saying it’s a scam.
I have changed my PIN for safety but wanted to check with these forums.
It was confirmed as legit by a Koodo Rep.
If some random says its a scam, it's likely they just assumed it is.

To add to what Goran said, crooks can spoof any number. So even though that number is from Koodo, you should still be diligent. If you suspect the call is not legit, don’t give any personal information or engage in a conversation… usually it’s easy to tell if it’s real or not.
We have suggested they change methods of contacting customers in order to look less spam-like. Would you know of a better solution?
