Question

Sim 1 Not Allowed

A recently purchased a renewed Pixel 7 that showed a popup saying “Sim 1 Not Allowed” when I put my Sim card in it.  Call, Text and Data don’t work, however I’ve confirmed through Self Serve that the phone isn’t locked to a specific carrier.

Did this help you find an answer to your question?

Was the “renewed” Pixel from Koodo? can you check if your Pixel IMEI wasn’t blocked in Canada using this web page: https://www.devicecheck.ca/check-status-device-canada/

Additionally, was your SIM working fine previously?

The phone was phone was purchased from a third party on Amazon.  The IMEI number appears as blocked but the SIM was working previously in my old phone (Galaxy A50).

If the SIM worked normally and the phone was blocked , your pixel was blacklisted in Canada. I recommend you return the device and get a different one.
