I was charged roaming. My phone was on airplane mode while in the US. When returning to Canada turned air plane mode off it was still on the AT&T tower. Charged $16 for one minute it took to switch to koodo.

I’m a bit confused. While you were in the US soil, did you ever turn airplane mode on or off? The reason I’m asking is that if airplane mode was already on before you got there, your phone wouldn’t have connected to AT&T’s network.

Also, can you take a quick look at your Koodo self‑serve account and check the usage details? It should show why Koodo thinks they can charge you—whether it was data, texts, or something else.

I turned air plane mode on before going to America. Once I was back in Canada turned air plane mode off. I received a text message. Noticed AT&T. Switched air plane mode back on. Thinking I wasn't far enough away from AT&T tower. Waited a few minutes and turned air plane mode off and was back on koodo.

That is weird, let me flag a rep to look into it.

Hi there @SJane

We have looked into it however we have been unable to identify the charge on the last issued bill.

If the charge is on the pending bill, please let us know once the bill is issued and we will look into it further.
