I am wondering if private phone calls between individuals are recorded or saved by Koodo? Wanted to see if I could get info from past call.

+4Recording a conversation without the other person’s consent is illegal, unless authorized by a judge. Remember when people would call into a radio station and we would hear a beep every 15 seconds or so… that was a warning required during any recording.

You must be thinking of a different country. According to section 183.1 of the Criminal Code of Canada, you can record any call as long as at least one person in the conversation consents to the recording taking place.
