#Porting out number

My cell phone is damaged and cannot work so I cannot receive texts.  So please disable my Port Protection feature so that I can port/transfer my number to another carrier.

Unfortunately that requires a rep through a callback or possibly private message via FB Messenger. You can put your Koodo sim card in another phone to view the text. But you still must be authenticated by a rep if you wish to remove it.

Hi @Cymoan, we’re sorry to hear about your phone! Please note, even with the Port Protection turned off, we will still send an automatic two-factor authentication SMS that you would need to reply to within 90 minutes or the port with be cancelled.

If possible, and you still have the SIM card, we’d recommend using it another phone then initiating the port. If you also have Port Protection, you’d need to contact our team as Goran described above.

Thank you for your advice!  Koodo Assist allowed me to set-up a call-back and a very helpful male agent (during my second call) was very attentive and informative to my request.
