My phone is lost and trying to locate it. Find my Iphone isnt working even though the phone is still ringing. Can koodo track the phone using the gps function?

Telecoms, afaik, don't track via GPS but by the tower that it's connected to. What specificallt isn't working with find my iPhone?
Does your iPhone show it’s last known location?
If connected to Wi-Fi or mobile data within the past 24 hours, Find My will show your iPhones’ last known location. When an iPhone is not connected to a Wi-Fi or data network, it will show as offline. The fact that it still rings means there’s enough battery left to do this. You might still be able to find it by retracing your steps and calling your iPhone.
