Question

No Reception

After transferring my number to Koodo and prepaying my plan, my phone hasn’t had any signal no matter where it’s at. Because of this I don’t have any access to the data that I’ve paid for, and cannot receive calls from anyone.

Hi there,

To confirm, did you respond to the port authorization text message within 90 mins? And did you receive a port confirmation text from koodo saying the port was completed?

You can also check your port status in self serve under "Manage phone number". When you check, does it say it was completed or something else? If it says cancelled, you can attempt the port request again, just make sure to follow all of the steps exactly.

I received the text from my previous provider and replied yes. On their app it no longer show my number, so I think there isn’t any problem on their end.

However, I did not receive any text from Koodo. Currently on Koodo’s website, I do see this message.

“Congrats! Your phone number was successfully transferred to Koodo.”, with the number that I have tranfered to Koodo

There's a case in the forum where the issue was caused by removing the Koodo eSIM. Could you confirm if the Koodo eSIM/physical SIM is still active on your device? And are you using any other carriers?
