Koodo Call forward MMI code isn't working

I’m trying to activate Koodo call forward and it’s not working. I tried with *21*call forward number# and it gave error message ‘Connection Problem or Invalid MMI code’. Then I got two other MMI codes from Koodo rep to try *#21#call forward number# and **21*call forward number#, but none of them worked and gave the same error message. The call forwarding number is a Canadian number, so there shouldn’t have been any issue in activating it. Moreover, I have purchased the add-on for call forwarding. Could anyone help me ?

That syntax is wrong. The correct format for unconditional call forwarding is #21*number# (no asterisk before the 21).

Try this: dial #21*your-forwarding-number# then hit call. No spaces, just exactly as written.

If that still errors out, reset your network settings when you’ve got signal. Sometimes the phone’s call forwarding config gets corrupted and needs a fresh start. Also double-check that the number you’re forwarding to is formatted correctly (should be the full 10-digit Canadian number).

Thank you, Robert for your message. I’ve tried with your code and got the same error message. Could it be reason that I’m roaming and currently out of Canada? Note that, even though I’m out of Canada, my koodo phone number is an Ontarian number and the call forwarding number that I’m trying to set up is an Albertan number.

I would suggest you to click the following link and follow the steps to activate call forwarding on your phone. https://www.koodomobile.com/en/help/call-forwarding

Thanks for your message. If you see my original post, I’ve tried the code for unconditional forwarding from you link you provided, and it didn’t work. So far I have tried with 4 different syntax and they didn’t work.

You are currently out of the country, which explains why you are unable to activate call forwarding.

Any option to bypass it? Could it be done backend by Koodo technicians?

No, the only way is to send your SIM card back to Canada and have a trusted friend or family member to help you set it up on a different device.
