Internet discount

I signed up for the internet package they offered via text. It shows for $89 for 1 gig. I used the code KI12M for the additional $10 off a month but it doesn’t show that anywhere on the bill. Also stats that is starts at $69 a month. Does anyone know if just the first payment is more then it gets adjusted after?

Hi there,

The discount should begin straight away as it is a subscription and not a monthly bill. The final price that shows when you’re in the last step for ordering the service is the price you will see going forward until credits that are applied expire or there is a plan price increase.

When you got to the final page before signing up, do you recall what the final price per month was and if it had reflected what you were expecting?

You would have also been sent a confirmation email with a summary of what the monthly cost will be. Is the discount reflected there? The starting price would depend on which plan you chose, so the 1 gig plan is likely more expensive than the “starting” plans price.

The extra $10 discount is not reflected anywhere. I put in the discount code at the time to. I thought maybe because it was the first time there might be a setup fee or something extra but it is not. Shows $89/ month, but the offer shows possible down to $69/ month with an existing phone plan which i do also have.

Edit: hm ok. If you dont see the discounts applied anywhere then they didnt apply properly when you ordered it. After you put in the code, in the price summary it should have reflected the promotion and the reduced price before you confirmed the order.

I suggest you schedule a callback with their internet team to see if they can apply the promo code. Regarding the discount when you have a monthly bill with koodo, this should apply also in the summary if you use the same self serve email to sign up for the service.

Id suggest the help here, however reps abilities on this platform are limited when it comes to the subscription services. The link to schedule a call can be found below, just follow the chatbot prompts and a rep can attempt to get the pricing back on track.

I reached out to someone at Koodo and they are reviewing what happened. Apparently i should be getting a further discount based on my history too.
