My previous mobile provider was CTExcel, which uses the Telus network. My wife and I were on the same account, sharing one account number. Since the end of last year, my phone has been unable to make or receive calls, but data and text messaging worked fine. Meanwhile, my wife's phone service was completely normal.
Two days ago, I ported both my number and my wife's number to Koodo. We are still sharing one account number. Strangely enough, this time, my phone works perfectly, but my wife's phone can't make or receive calls. However, her data and text messaging are functioning normally.
My guess is: could it be that Telus' network doesn't support having two numbers under the same account? Is there anyone who can test this?
Can I transfer my wife's number to a separate account with a new account number? This seems like a potential solution, but only if my guess about the issue is correct.
