Seriously, this is the single most backwards way of doing business I have ever seen. It genuinely makes me want to cancel my account. This is a ridiculous way to operate.

I’m trying to port my phone number over from another shared account. Problem is it was a bad situation and I had to leave pretty quickly so I don’t have account information and I can’t ask him for it. So I’m trying to see if there are options to switch it over without having to contact an abusive ex.

In your situation, the best and easiest way is to port over to another service provider.

If both of you are currently with Koodo and you like to keep your plan on a separate account, you will need to do a transfer of ownership, which will require the consent of the account owner. I am porting over from another service provider.

He will not give me the account number or give his consent.

Since you are porting over to Koodo, it does not require his consent.

If you do not know the account number, I believe you can try to use your IMEI number to proceed with the port transfer. It will show up once you enter *#06# into the keypad.
