Help! I am finding it impossible to get coherent support while overseas

I switched to Koodo because of problems with my previous mobile provider, but I am seriously regretting my decision.

I am overseas and for over two weeks I have been trying to get an eSIM installed in my phone. I keep going around in a never ending support loop.

Can anyone suggest an actual email address that I can use to contact Support?

As in the Koodo esim or other carrier?

There is no email for support. We can start here and then take it to other options as needed.

Goran,

Thank you for your offer of help.

Firstly, I tried to login with my Koodo account but gave up after being in an endless password change loop. So I logged in with Facebook.

I moved my account from Fido to Koodo in December while overseas. I was having problems with Fido support, but a month later,  I’m wishing I hadn’t changed.

iPhone 16 Pro. IOS 18.7.1. Local Vietnamese SIM in the SIM tray. No eSIM.

How do I activate the eSIM?

Thanks

Simon

Eh, when you moved to Koodo, did they give you a SIM card? If they did, as of now, where is the SIM/eSIM? Is it in that phone or another?

In some cases, you can move SIM/eSIM between devices without going through Koodo. Check this link https://www.koodomobile.com/en/help/koodo-sim-support?

Dinh,

I had an eSIM on my previous account with Fido. I was trying to transfer to Koodo with a new eSIM.

I am using the same phone. The current status is one physical SIM for my Vietnamese number and no eSIM.

Thanks for the URL but I’m not going down that virtual rabbit hole again. The web page assumes I am in Canada with an 11 digit phone number.

I am confused. When Koodo activated your phone line with Koodo, they gave you a SIM(or eSIM) with a temporary number. Currently do you have access to it?

I had a Welcome to Koodo email on December 20, inviting me to register with Self Serve and showed me my account number.

I don’t remember seeing any information about an eSIM.

The problem is that the system assumes I am in Canada.

PS. I’ve just found a phone number assigned to me.

If that is the case, they might send a physical SIM card to the address that you registered. Unless you asked for an eSIM at the time of activation.

Since you didn't have any Koodo SIM, you can't simply create or make another without it. You will need to visit Koodo location and ask a rep to assist.

Anyway, I will flag a rep to see if there is another way.
