fax machine sound when I pick up my phone (on Wireless Home Phone)

When someone calls my home phone it sounds like a fax machine tone /beep/sound when I try to answer my phone
Typically if they call back soon after, I can answer it with no problem.

I unplugged the handset, Wireless Home phone ZTE Hub and took out the battery, etc  to help reset it.  This did not help. I do not have a fax.
I have tried using a different phone handset. This did not help
I do not have call forwarding or any special options that I can turn off/on.

What else can I do?

Is the issue you are experiencing the same as in this post?

 

 

Are you new to Koodo home phone or did the home phone work fine and this new issue appeared recently?

Hi ​@LJ23, you can also try to toggle the switch on the back of the hub to OFF, leave it for 30 seconds then toggle it back to the ON position. You can find tutorials for the ZTE device here.
