eSIM still showing temporary number after porting number to Koodo

When I go to my sim manager my eSIM still shows my temporary number instead of my number that I ported over. I’ve tried resetting network settings, toggling airplane mode, restarting the phone etc. Nothing has worked, It’s been about 2 weeks since I ported the number so it’s not changing on it’s own.

I’ve seen some people had their SIM setting refreshed from Koodo’s end and it seemed to solve the problem. Can a Koodo rep do the same for my account?

That’s super common with eSIM ports; the display lags behind even after everything’s working (calls/data). Since you’ve tried the basics and it’s been 2 weeks, what phone model? Try these next:

  • iPhone: Settings > Cellular > tap your line > manually enter your ported number.
  • - Samsung: Toggle eSIM off/on in SIM Manager, or clear cache partition.

Does your ported number show correctly on outgoing calls/Self Serve?

I have a S23. I’ve tried toggling the eSIM off and on, no luck. Not sure how to clear the cache partition.

The number does show up correctly on outgoing calls and self serve site.

Hi @Scarbz123, the port completed successfully and we’re not seeing any issues with the provisioning on your account.

Does the temporary number only show for the eSIM? You mentioned outgoing calls show the correct number, do outgoing messages show the correct number as well?

Can you try to toogle the airplane mode on for 30 second and turn it off? Another customer reported that helped them to update the number with a Samsung device.

Yes, texts are also showing up with the correct number, I checked the RCS settings and it has the correct number as well.

Is there refresh you can do on your end?

I’ve also tried toggling airplane mode for more than 30 seconds, I’ve tried turning the phone off for 10+ minutes, no luck.

From several reports in the forum, thee issue is likely related with Samsung SIM manager. I would just let it update by itself if everything else is working normally
