We had a storm a few days ago and now we cant make or receive calls on any of our cell phones . we don't have a land line. Or phone's are fine. They work when we go into town. It says we are on a Telus tower and there are a few towers that have issues but its been days. This is ridiculous!! I cant contact anyone. I get an endless circle of help articles but no way to report this problem. AND I am not a Telus customer so I cant talk to them. they just want me to sign up!!!! I am very frustrated!!!

went to town. found a number on the phone now. trying to see whats going on.  Sounds like a tower in  the US causing problems as I live close to the boarder.

Thanks.

Sounds like storm damage hit local Telus towers; As service works in town, it’s area-specific.

  • Restart phones, toggle Airplane mode 30 secs.
  • Test WiFi calling in settings (uses internet for calls/texts)

If it doesn't check with other people around you if they have the same issue.

Yeah we have done that.  And its all our phones (4) in our family with 2 different accounts. Bell customers are fine it seems.  I try to contact Telus but as I stated they just want to sell me stuff.    I am trying to contact Koodo on FB because I cant use bot for call back. lol

Since Telus and Bell share towers, it is little strange to hear you had issue while they didn't. Which phone model are you using? I wonder there is issue with 3G signal on your area.

Can you go into phone Settings > Select About Phone > The phone model should be showed there. As well, was the phone purchased in Canada?

That just tell the signal is weak. Is it indoor or out door signal?

As well, are you a prepaid or postpaid customer?

Both indoor and out. Its the same till about 5 k out. But then its still week still in the minus. Its not till town that it barely reaches any green. The the phone works fine. I can call and everything. But even then like I said very weak.

Monthly customer auto with drawl.

Yes phone purchased in Canada. I was a bell customer for many years but it got too expensive. Been koodo for 5 months now.

You could use this link to see if any outage is reported in your area https://www.telus.com/en/qc/outages

If the issue is with the towers - not much you could do to fix them. In the mean time, you could enable WiFi calling in your phones. It might help with indoor signal when you have access to WiFi.

Did you setup wifi calling on your phones?
