cannot access Chat Assist


How do you contact Koodo when data is not working.   If you call *611 they say to schedule a callback it will send you to Chat Assist, but if your data isn’t working (as this is why you are calling), how do you contact Koodo???? As you need data or internet to use Chat Assist.

I assume your inquiry is to fix your data?

Please restart your phone to see if it fixes your data issue.

Did data work in the past?  When did this data issue start occuring?

I did that multiple times.  We are in Ontario and had an ice storm and haven’t power since Friday night.  So we also don’t have internet.  It worked ok up to this morning and started working again this afternoon. But if it happens again how do I contact Koodo ?  I can’t even access here when it isn’t working.   Is there not a phone number to schedule a callback that doesn’t use Chat Assist?  Thanks

Are you noticing others around you who use Koodo/Telus also with mobile Data issues?

If so, this is because there are active outages that are impacting the mobile services in the area of the ice storm.  Please see the outage map.

There will be nothing that a rep can do, and Telus is working to get services back up.

I have no one around me as I am stuck in my house.  A rep could me if it is a problem with my phone or if there is an outage as I wouldn’t be able to access the map.

If you cant access the map here is what it says.

The problem is high likely to do with the outage.  A rep will see the outage and will say this as well.  They do not have a way to test if it is a problem with your phone remotely.  

You have only mentioned cellular data being the issue.  If youhave talk and text still working, i recommend contacting your friends and family to see if they have similar issue.

Thank you for this. My texting was not working this morning either.  I know a rep wouldn’t be able to tell what exact problem is with my phone but they could tell me if there was an outage.  As I don’t have local people with Koodo to ask. 

I just think Koodo should have a way to request a call back if you do not have data to use Chat Assist.  It could be something else a person is calling about.  I know that is something you cannot help with just a suggestion for Koodo.
