I make cellular phone calls and send texts pictures etc., by cellular within in Canada
Does texting by itself within Canada require data?
Does sending video/pictures within Canada require data?
Is the process the same in the US re cellular phone calls and texting video and pictures?
Does the US require data roaming be on for phone calls and texting etc., within the US and to Canada?

Trust me, with 100gb you won't ever have to worry about messages using data :)
It will work equally well in Canada as the US. You can use your plan like you are in Canada, except for the perks or add-ons. They are only included for free in Canada.
Data roaming will need to be on, but with that plan you won't be charged for roaming in the US.
