View originalUnfortunately, WiFi calling minutes are counted toward your total minutes. They are not separated from your total minutes package.
Wi-Fi calls and messages are treated the same as cellular calls or messages. Also, there is no charge to use Wi-Fi Calling for a Canadian long distance call.

If the other person has unlimited minutes, why not text them to call you back instead? That way, you won’t need to use up your outgoing minutes.
Get an inexpensive VOiP service and an app on your phone to make calls wherever WiFi is available. Usually no long distance surcharge for calls to US numbers as well.
