When trying to connect to wifi calling, this is the message i receive when i enter my phone number to get an access code “ A System Error has occurred. Please try again later”. Been doing this for 3 days. Tried as many different things as this forum has suggested
Any help greatly appreciated

Try restarting your phone
Thanks for your quick response Dennis. I have tried that several times, no dice. Thanks
Lester
When you login to your self serve and check your add-ons, do you see the free VoLTE add-on on there?
Yes, under the “My addons” it says i have it. “Koodoo VoLTE access”
What phone are you using?
Samsung SM-715W. My wife has exact phone. We ported ourl numbers over from shaw 3 days ago, and her phone works fine for wifi calling.
Funny thing, under her addons, it says she doesnt have VoLTE access, yet her wifi calling works
What happens if you both disable wifi calling, then swap sims with each other. Then try to enable wifi calling again.
Does the issue follow the sim card or the phone?
i just said that to my wife 15 mins ago. Think ill try it
Well, my wifes sim didnt work in my phone, but i couldnt get my sim to work in her phone either. When i put her sim back in her phone, it connected right away, so not sure if it sim or phone related. We do not have a very good cell signal here either, zero or 1 bar, and koodoo wants a cell signal when trying to access wifi calling for the first time, but i dont think thats the issue, cause i connected my wifes phone from here
That didnt clear things up at all.
Do you have another spare phone to test or try?
i have very old one, but not sure if it supports wifi calling even. I will check. Thanks for your help up to now, gotta shut it down for the night. Ill check back with you tomorrow if it is working or not.
Thanks
Lester
I also recommend scheduling a callback via Koodo Assist to see if the issue is on Koodo’s end
Not sure why the sim card swap isn’t just working. There’s no reason why they wouldn’t work in just any phone if both phones currently work with Koodo. There’s clearly something else as well if no VoLTE on one line, yet there’s wifi calling, and there’s VoLTE on the other, but wifi calling isn’t working. So long as the phones were sold in Canada, there should be no whitelist issues. It defnitely should have a rep look into the Koodo side of things, and then trying again.
Hi Goran,
Went to Walmart kiosk to get a new line for my Granddaughter today. While there I swapped my wife’s sim into my phone, and it connected with the wifi calling. They put my sim in my wife’s phone, and wifi calling wouldnt connect. So they gave me a new sim card with the same number, and still wouldnt connect to wifi calling, so they gave up and said get ahold of tech support, (which i am waiting for now). When i got home, I took my grand daughters shaw sim card, and put it in my phone, and wifi calling works. I dont know what is going on. I am using her old shaw sim for now, because i have no cell service at home, so i need wifi calling.
Thanks
Lester
Let me flag a rep to help you out.
They just got back to me now. I scheduled an appointment for tomorrow morning. Should i use the rep now, or wait for the morning?
Lester
Hi @lester44 if you have a callback scheduled with our Tech Support team we’d recommend waiting for it as they may need to log a ticket for this.
In the meantime, we’ve checked your account and everything looks set for you to be able to use Wi-Fi calling.
Thank you very much. Will let you know tomorrow how things go.
