Amazon Prime temporary hold

I tried logging into Amazon accounting after many months but entered the password wrong too many times.  I was successful at resetting the password but now it’s on “Temporary hold”.  After reaching out to Amazon they said they won’t let me back into the account and I have to create a new account since the account was never used.  How do I go about doing this without losing my Prime/Stream+?

Just wondering if you can create a new Amazon account with a different email address, then subscribe to Stream+ on that new account using a valid payment method. Cancel the old Prime/Stream+ subscription through your current Koodo Self Serve account to avoid double billing.

Hi there,

That is not something that can be resolved/transferred on the Koodo side. If you wish to keep your Stream+ deal and have the other services unaffected, then you will need the Amazon support rep to transfer the Stream+ subscription payment method to the new account. They should be able to do this.

If they can’t link it to the new account, then you will need to cancel stream+, wait until the current cycle is over, and then re-apply for Stream+ linking the new account.

Did you actually activate your Amazon prime through Koodo’s stream+?

When in self serve and you go to your subscription section, next to Amazon Prime, does the button say launch or activate?  Don’t click activate if you do see it

I did active it already.  That’s why I prefer not to create a new account in the even I lose the Stream+ benefit.

no luck.  since I’ve never used this amazon account they won’t release the hold.  I guess I have to cancel and redo the Stream+ 😪
