After successful port from Public the temporary number still shows on SIM yet calls and SMS are the ported number

Ported out from Public Mobile prepaid to Koodo postpaid plan successfully.

Calls and SMS sent to my number work and calls and SMS out show as my number.

However the SIM still shows the temp number so apps only see the temp number.

Have reset mobile network services on my Pixel without the SIM updating the number.

Have also tested the SIM in several other android phones it still shows the temporary number.

Finally found an iPhone to test the SIM in.

After registering on the network the correct number is now showing on the SIM.

Back into Pixel and the correct number is now showing.

Just to confirm, have you received the SMS notification that your number transfer was completed from Koodo?

As well, have you tried disable and enable RCS in the phone again to see if the system recognize the correct number?

This is just a temporary visual glitch. Others have reported this in the past as well. If your number calling and receiving work fine I wouldn't worry about it

SMS and Phone calls show the correct number not using RCS but it works fine when enabled.

The backend is routing calls and messages correctly it was updated successfully.

The SIM was not updated with the correct number.

It's been a week with this glitch.

The phone and apps are only seeing the old temp number. Some apps use the number reported by the SIM for validation.

You can refer to this link and follow the steps to remove the temporary number and reset RCS on your phone.

Not a cache issue. Recipients see the correct number. Have also tested on other phones that were factory reset.

Setting > network > sims > Koodo : shows the temp number

Guess have to play the L2 support waiting game
