Account Wrongly activated

Hello. I was signing up for a plan with Koodo but the call cut and I was unable to complete it. The agent called back and asked me and I said to cancel the plan completely as I need to shop for a new phone too. He said he would cancel the account without issue and call me back when he had time to shop phones with me, However I see now that there is a number active and a SIM card shipped. Can you please cancel this account

Hey! If your Koodo account got activated by mistake and a SIM was shipped even though you asked to cancel, you can't cancel it yourself online; you'll need to get Koodo to cancel it for you.

For this specific issue, you'll need to schedule a callback through the Koodo Chatbot at koodo.com/chat. Just type "I want to cancel" and follow the prompts so someone can help close the account and stop the SIM order if possible.

If you already got a bill or have access to Self Serve, let me know. Otherwise, book that callback and you should be all set!

Koodo assist can be accessed by following the link below. From there, hit monthly and input the “Cancellation” prompt. I would explain the mistake and ask for the service to be “returned” instead of cancelled to avoid paying any possible connection fees from purchasing from a rep over the phone.

If you have the number of the rep, it wouldn’t hurt to follow up with them again first as if they have reached out to their support team, the account may already be in the process of being cancelled. 🙂

Black friday is in a couple of days.  You may want to wait until then to make your plan and phone purchase.  It might be easier to make the purchase online or in store than over the phone.

If the agent activated the line by mistake, only Koodo support can cancel it. Contact them directly and request an immediate deactivation of the account and SIM shipment, since you didn’t authorize the activation.

Just be clear it was activated without authorization so they prioritize stopping the SIM shipment.
