koodo should stop sending messages ro customers at 3am.

  • andymhancock

As the title states koodo keeps messaging me at inappropriate hours.  I got the data rollover plan 5 months ago, they send you a text every month to tell you how much of your data rolls over to the next month.

So in 5 months I've recieved 5 of these texts now, their times are:

2:23am, 1:43am, 2:57am, 2:13am and 3:29am.

These are not urgent messages and can wait until I'm awake.

The koodo rep said there was nothing they could do, their manager said there's nothing they could do.  They said it's "their system".  Yes it is, but somebody programmed that.  It would be super easy to just add a "during business hours" clause to the data rollover texts.  Please do.  I'm sure your CEO wouldn't keep a service that woke him up randomly between 1 and 4am once a month.

Did this help you find an answer to your question?

Let’s keep the conversation (and votes) to one thread:

I'll remove this when an employee from koodo acknowledges my complaint.  Don't care about votes or whatever they are.  They don't send their promotional messages at 3am, just implement the same parameters for data rollover texts.  It isn't difficult.  It's just impossible to let the right department know.

@Boa_Guy Koodo I hope you actually do.  What we're asking isn't hard.  Your marketing department already only sends text during optimal hours.  They do this because they'd be poorly recieved at 3 in the morning.  Like my data rollover alerts.

Just set the exact same time parameters for the data rollovers as the marketing department uses for marketing and it would be 100 percent acceptable.
