Does your Certified Pre-Owned Phone Require Repair?

Is your CPO (Certified pre-owned) phone not working like it used to? All CPO phones actually come with a 1-year warranty allowing you to send it out for repair if needed. In this article, we’ll be discussing where to go if you’re experiencing issues with your phone.

CPO iPhone

In-Warranty

Out of warranty
(Expired warranty or Physical / Liquid damage)

Visit a TELUS or Koodo location as they can process CPO iPhone repairs.

Mobile Klinik or TELUS location

CPO Android

In-Warranty

Out of warranty
(Expired warranty or Physical / Liquid damage)

Visit a Koodo Shop

Mobile Klinik or Koodo Shop

Reminder: It’s a good idea to back up your phone before sending it out for repair. Chances are they will perform a factory reset during the process and we wouldn't want you to lose any important data.

Good to know

90% of all device issues can be resolved by simply restarting the device. Try powering off your phone and giving it a few seconds before turning it back on. If that doesn’t work, backup your phone and try a factory reset.

Need help backing up your device or performing a factory reset? See our interactive tutorials for easy-to-follow visuals.

Note: If you have a non-Koodo phone that is not in the list, please refer to the manufacturer's website for further assistance.

That's just how they come. Koodo is getting these devices refurbished without Apple sourced parts. I personally don't see aan issue with batteries not being “original “as long as the capacity is the same but a lot of the time lcd screens are used, which isn't the proper screen type. You kinda have to accept it or return it if you aren't ok with it.

My pre owned LG phone is out of warranty. The physical power button on the phone has fallen off. As this happened I cannot restart my phone and either need a new phone or a repair.

You can have the device repaired at a discount if you happen to have Koodo’s extended warranty Device Care Complete. This would be performed at a mobile klinic, though where LG devices have been discontinued for a long time now, they may not be able to make the repair.

If you did not have any additional warranty, then you can either try repair shops like a mobile klinic though it would be full price or other repair shops, but you’re probably better off getting a new device. CPO devices only get 1 year of free coverage as described above; this also does not cover physical damage.

Which LG phone do you have exactly? They’re pretty old now. I have a Velvet 5G lying around still that I use occasionally, and it works great still, but support has been over for years now for security updates and such since LG discontinued making cell phones 5-6 years ago now.

If you’re still content to using it regardless, you’ll have to do as Oliver said and pick any place like a mobile klink for a repair. You can pick any reputable store but Koodo customers do get a small discount at mobile klinik.
