Apple Live Voicemail for iOS 17
With iOS 17, Apple is introducing Apple Live Voicemail. This feature gives iPhone users the ability to see real-time transcription as someone leaves a voicemail, and the opportunity to pick up while the caller is leaving their message.
Live Voicemail will be toggled ON by default when a compatible device* has been upgraded to iOS 17.
To turn Live Voicemail ON or OFF: Settings > Phone > Live Voicemail > On / Off
*Compatible devices:
- iPhone XS / XS Max / XR
- iPhone 11 / 11 Pro / 11 Pro Max
- iPhone 12 / 12 mini / 12 Pro / 12 Pro Max
- iPhone 13 / 13 mini / 13 Pro / 13 Pro Max
- iPhone 14 / 14 Plus / 14 Pro / 14 Pro Max
- iPhone 15 / 15 Plus / 15 Pro / 15 Pro Max
- iPhone SE 2 / SE 3
Notes:
- Live Voicemail only works in Canada while the device is powered on (otherwise calls will default to regular Koodo voicemail service)
- Live Voicemails are stored on the device and not on Koodo voicemail service.
- Live Voicemail will currently only work if iPhone language is set to EN.
