Basically once you receive the SIM card. The charge is from the day you ordered. You can speak with a rep to get the days before receiving your sim card credited.
Thanks. I already have Koodo eSIM. If I understand instructions in Koodo help I don’t have to wait for the SIM card to arrive (but I still have to pay $10 for it).
Is this the process?
- Register on Koodo web site with new self-serve account
- Purchase new BYOD plan
- Start procedure to transfer number from old provider
- Wait for old provider SMS to confirm number transfer
- Once confirmed wait for a few hours for number to be transferred to Koodo
- Remove old provider SIM and activate Koodo eSIM
- Wait for Koodo welcome SMS
Am I missing something?
This looks like it will circumvent wait time for Koodo SIM card to arrive in the mail, and avoid the need to involve the rep to credit these days.
So you had purchased a inactive eSIM and wanted to transfer there? If so, you would need to receive the physical SIM card first before switching to it.
2.1 wait for activation email from Koodo
2.2 get access to self-serve
2.3 visit a Koodo store with your id and ask a rep to switch SIM to eSIM.
