There a way to change the name on the bill/account

As topic says, I’m looking for a way to change the name on the account. Events conspired to make ne need to sign up with a family member’s name on the bill (not not the credit card) and I’m hoping there’ll be a way I can fix that.  

 

Koodo phoned at some point while I was trying to sign up, with my name on the bill, presumably to confirm that they were permitting me to do so, but they didn’t understand what the Koodo person on the phone was talking about and it sounded like a scam to them, so they declined, but I wasn’t aware so I just signed up with their name and it was too late to do anything by the time I found out.

Yes, there is, but since the other person is the official account holder, you will need them to transfer the account to your name. There is a fee involved, and both you and the account holder will need to provide ID to transfer the account to you. See also https://www.koodomobile.com/en/help/transfer-of-ownership-town

Hmmm. Three months. Does the credit check need to be done if it’s still remaining on the same payment method? I don’t have a credit card to pay with which is why I needed to use somebody else’s in the first place.

I'm not entirely sure what is involved. I don't think there will be an additional credit check but usually the address on the credit card has to match the address of the account.

Yes, you will need to complete a credit check when you are doing the transfer of ownership, since you do not have a postpaid plan under your name. https://www.koodomobile.com/en/help/transfer-of-ownership-town

Okay, so it sounds like just changing the name on the call display will be the way to go. Can THAT be done?

Koodo doesnt have name display unless you subscribe to Call Display+

I would just make sure call display+ is disabled.

Call display is based on the account holders name.
In order to change that, you need to do what the others mentioned above.

You can not have an account in someone else’s name, and have the call display in your name unfortunately.
