stream plus upgraded on its own

I was subscribing to the basic stream plus. Just noticed I was upgraded to stream plus with Netflix standard in February. I’ve now been charged for 2 months for this subscription. I didn’t do this upgrade. How can I get a refund? I just switched back to the basic plan through self serve, but I want a refund for the upgraded charges that I didn’t ask for.

glad to hear that you were able to switch it back to basic. I will flag a rep to see if they can do something, but they have limited abilities when it comes to credits etc regarding the subscriptions service, this may require a callback rep instead. 

Make sure you’re logged into the community using your self serve credentials and they should be able to take a look. They will respond here as I have.

I need to clarify what you’re looking for here. 

  1. Have you checked your account activity or billing history to see exactly when and how the upgrade triggered? Sometimes this reveals if it was auto-renewed or linked to a promotion.
  2. What’s your account status now; is Stream Plus still active, or has it already been removed?
  3. Have you documented everything, like screenshots of charges, dates, and confirmation emails? This matters for any formal complaint.

  1. Yes I have checked the billing history and noticed I was upgraded on Feb 25.
  2. Stream plus is still active. I just downgraded it back to the basic plan to prevent further charges.

Koodo’s stream+ plans through self serve only offer Netflix Standard with ads and Netflix Premium.

If your plan was upgraded to Netflix Standard, that would’ve been a plan change done within your Netflix account, not through your Koodo account. If no one else has access to your Netflix account, I would suggest changing your password. If others do, I would suggest chatting with them to see if they maybe upgraded the plan without realizing the extra cost.

Was it upgraded to Standard or Premium?
