Woot woot i was finally able to get a call back on my cell (not koodo lol) my issue has been fixed - So here is where the problem origination from - Top up $25.00 was added to phone, but here in the beautiful province of Qc (:) there are 911 fees that makes the refill to your account in a minus balance - And to top it off the other voucher was never accepted but i did get the confirmation - All this said, back in order - Thank you all for your wonderful help, much appreciated!!!

Yes, there is a $15.00 a month charge for seasonal suspending of your account.  But the other potential pitful to watch for is that when you want to unsuspend your account, you must select an in market plan at the time you take off the seasonal hold.  So if you have a highly discounted plan, think twice before doing a seasonal hold.

It is mentioned on the website.

If a rep helped you out there, then yes, the rep indeed should have told you however.

Hi there,

If you wish to cancel the account it cannot be done through self serve, this is why you couldn't find a button on your account.

You would have to either speak to a rep via a call back if you're in Canada, through social media if you're outside of Canada, or by porting the number out to another provider.

Note: if you want to do the callback method and don't have another number they can call or want to port out to another provider, you will have to change your plan in self serve and reactivate the service first.  🙂

Need help - Koodo phone says my account is suspended - I topped it up yesterday morning, i can’t make calls or receive - Did the virtual assistant they scheduled a call back, they called 7 times but my issue is that i can’t answer the calls since it says my account has been suspended - How in god’s name am i supposed to get this fixed if i can’t answer their calls, this is really frustrating - It has happened to me back in August, i was told to add another $25, so did the same thing added a total of 2 yesterday and nothing works still shows my account is suspended - On my account page only 1 of the cards is showing???? What am i supposed to do???

Hello, do you have the balance in your self-serve account?

Also, can you start your own thread so we can help you out there?

Diane Middlemiss

The balance yesterday was showing that i owed 0.18 cents, but when i topped up the 2nd card it confirmed that i had succesfully entered.

Dialing #227 will still work even if you have an account suspension to reach out to the billing department.

To confirm, once the 2nd card was accepted, the balance in self-serve now shows that you owe $0?

If it shows that you owe nothing and nothing seems wrong, try restarting the device. If that doesn’t work, try clearing your network settings and see if that resolves the issue.

If those don’t work, you will need to schedule another callback with a prepaid rep. When you go to schedule the callback, just schedule it to a different phone number if you can. It doesn’t have to be the prepaid number in question that they call, just as long as you’re the one to pick up.

When you mention clearing network settings, no sure i understand exactly, please keep in mind that my phone is a flip phone lol - So not too itech here :) I go to the menu, settings, then?

Ah I see! What brand/model of flip phone are you using? Resetting the network settings resets your connections to the cell towers. This can sometimes fix issues with connectivity.

Just note in doing it, it will also reset any saved Bluetooth devices or Wi-Fi passwords if you want to give it a try. 🙂

I don’t even have Data :) so reset sounds like a good option to see if it works.

Thank you for the extra information. Follow these steps below to reset the network settings.

Go to Settings → Scroll down and you should see RESET, select this → the device will then prompt you to either reset your network settings or restore the phone to factory status.

DO NO CHOOSE FACTORY STATUS. This will reset the phone like it was straight out of the box losing your phone numbers etc.
