Roaming Charge

I was charged for 5 days of roaming to the US but I never left Canada. I was on vacation in Sooke and while driving/depending on where I was visiting it would connect to a US tower without me knowing and then connect back to Koodo. Please remove these charges.

Let me flag a rep to help you out.

To avoid this from happening again, you can manually select your network to Koodo, so that your phone does not automatically connect to a cellular tower. You will need to do this every time you restart your phone.

In the meantime, you may want to upvote this idea. If there are enough votes, Koodo may consider this option in the future.

Hi @Elly14

We have reviewed the details and we have been able to remove the roaming charges since they were triggered due to accidental data roaming, feel free to check the details in your self serve account when you get the chance.

For more info about how to prevent accidental roaming charges, please check out this article https://community.koodomobile.com/plans-services-232910/easy-roam-understanding-how-you-will-be-charged-while-traveling-7811296
