Question about Credit Score Reporting

I have two names on my account. I am the main one and pay for both but is there a way to insure the other person on the account can earn points for a credit score?

Would this be a cause of they need to pay for it out of their own account?

Hi there,

You’re correct. The credit report is based only on the account owner. So if the other person wants to build their credit they will have to be on their own account under their name. That’s the only way 🙂👍

Is it possible to give her the account or no?

So that’s something known as a transfer of ownership, It is possible and you would be subject to a one time $50 fee. You would need to schedule a call back through the link and talk to a rep with you both present. The rep will then perform a credit check under the other person and if they pass will transfer it into their name. 🙂
