We have a family plan. The primary user stopped paying the bill. How do we get a new account if only the primary has access?
What you would have to do is to ask the person who owns the account to do the Transfer of Ownership https://www.koodomobile.com/en/help/transfer-of-ownership-town
You would need the main account owner’s cooperation to do that.
Thank you for responding. The primary won’t transfer ownership of the account. There are 3 phones on the account. I am paying the bill to avoid discontinuation of service for the 2 secondary phones. As long as the primary retains ownership of the account, they subsequently continue to maintain service without paying for their portion of the bill. I used to have permission from the primary for authorization privileges, but the primary has cancelled the permission. Am I stuck paying for the primary’s service forever?
I think you could transfer your number to another company since Koodo won’t open an account without the primary’s permission. I am no expert but maybe someone who is could chime in.
If you have a tab on your phone I would think (?) the primary would be responsible for it - so he/she isn’t doing themselves any favours if you choose to port out.

Unfortunately, the transfer of ownership needs to be approved by the account holder.
The only other option at this point would be to port to a different carrier. (You could always port back to Koodo right after). That would only require knowing the account number to do so.
