please reverse tomaing cherges

I have several roaming charges on my account and have not been to the US at any point. Can u please have all of these reversed.

That’s frustrating. First thing - log into Self Serve and check your usage details to see exactly what triggered each charge. Sometimes background data or SMS reception can activate Easy Roam without you realizing it.

If you genuinely didn’t use roaming and have data/roaming disabled, screenshot your usage breakdown and the charges. I can flag a rep for help here on the community.

What do your usage details actually show for those charges?

If the roaming fee has showed up in your bill, and you weren't in US soil recently, let me flag a rep to look into it.

In the future, since your phone was prone to accidental roaming, please disable data roaming and automatic carrier selection. manually select Koodo in cellular settings will help

Thank you, the latest bill has 32 dollars in charges and I believe some on the prior bill as well. I’ve shut roaming off, we do live next to a border so I’m assuming it connected to us towers.

Let me flag a rep to help you out.

To avoid this from happening again, you can manually select your network to Koodo, so that your phone does not automatically connect to a cellular tower. You will need to do this every time you restart your phone. You can also check this FAQ Koodo made.

Just to add,

If you haven’t looked into it already it may be worth considering switching to a CAN/US plan. You can find these currently in your self serve, but there is quite a few options for pretty cheap from black Friday/cyber monday.

If you switched to one, you would be able to roam in the US free of charge if you ever travel there and you won’t see these charges show up anymore if you get close to the border. Might be worth checking out. 🙂

We have reviewed the details and we have been able to remove the roaming charges since it  was due to accidental data roaming, feel free to check the details in your self serve account when you get the chance.
