Overcharged Taxes

I moved to Alberta from Ontario in 2022.

I am still being charged the 13% Ontario GST instead of the reduced Alberta 5%.

I  updated my billing information upon moving yet the charge did not update.

Can my account be credited for the amount of Tax that was overcharged by Koodo?

This is a note from official:

"Taxes for the plan are actually determined based on the phone number while taxes for usage is based on the phones location.

In order to change the taxes completely, you would need to change your phone number."

How about phone number? Did you change your number to Alberta area code number?

Nope, same number same account.

I was told when moving all I needed to update was my address. If I wanted a new number I'd have to close my account and everything and start from scratch again (tabs, credits, information, all wiped)

You can change your phone number without canceling your account, although you might need to speak with a koodo rep to change to a number from a different province.
