Roaming is on by default. How you are charged for roaming is via Easy Roam or Pay per Use roaming.
If your easy roam was triggered it would be due to the network identifying data use, sms sent, or talk used.
If you send any texts, used any data or talk on your phone while you were out of the country?
Are you able to determine which day Easy Roam was charged on your detailed pdf ebill (download from self serve)?
Hello, Yes I can tell on what days I was charged, April 29th, April 30, and May 1st 2023.
Has the services for easy roam changed?
Why is Koodo automatically charging roaming fees?
I have always had to activate the easy roam feature, every day for which the services are requested.
How can I get these charges credit to my account?
Is there a number I can call? I would like to talk to someone who can reverse these charges.
Thanks Ben.
That has never been the case where you need to “activate” easy roam to turn it on for each and every day you intend to use it. Just like you dont need to “activate” long distance calling for each and every day you intend to use it.
Easy roam and roaming in general is always on and only gets triggered when you use it. If you dont use roaming (no data use, no sms sent, and no talk used) then you will not get charged.
This article should help you understand how roaming works
