No sim card yet, already being charged.

I've already seen this question, but there has been no answer at all. I received an email yesterday regarding my monthly bill. The sim card was just shipped on Tuesday.

Why are they already charging me for days last week, etc., when I don't have my sim card yet and can't access any services from it yet?

I am in Northern Ontario, so it takes longer for mail to arrive. I am trying to get a hold of customer service.

Hi there,

As @MilkyWay mentioned,  for online orders, the billing starts once the sim is shipped.

This is stated during the ordering process, as in the screenshot below

It usually takes 7 - 10 business days for the sim to be delivered to you: https://www.koodomobile.com/en/help/shipping-and-delivery

For sim card only activations, no tracking number is assigned as the sim is shipped through regular mail.

i hope this helps :)

The charges start from the date that the SIM card is shipped out. You may schedule a callback through Koodo Assist and speak with a rep to see whether they will credit back the days that it was in transit, but there are no guarantees. https://Koo.do/Chat

I've tried to do the Koodo assist, but because it's just automated, I'm not getting anywhere with it and it's frustrating.

Did you ask the chat to schedule a callback?

I understand that, so it benefits people more that don't live in rural areas, like in bigger cities and are close.

If you need the SIM urgently, you could also visit a Koodo kiosk with your proper ID, they should be able to give you a replacement sim

We'll, it's just the fact I'm away at school right now, and I won't be going home for another two weeks until Easter. Can I still go to a kiosk later in the week and see if I can get one?

You could get the SIM anytime you would like. However, technically, they will charge you from the date they activated your SIM card from their end, not from the date you start using them. So I recommend you acquire a SIM whenever you could.

We'll, I'll see if I can get the sim as quick as possible. I'll be heading to the Koodo booth in the mall this week and see what I can do.
