New to Koodo and signed up to the summer sale plan. Just received my bill and I know I’m not the best at math, but something is telling me that this math ain’t mathin.
Cant be activation fee as it indicated I would save $50 from purchasing online Cant be new sim card fee because I already have that charge on my card when I signed up Cant be a new perk because that is free
So what am I missing that could make 39 + 1.30 = 49.40 ?

Do you have your full bill generated yet? Can you show a screenshot of page 3 of your bill? It likely has the detailed breakdown there to explain it. And if it doesn’t, we can flag a rep to look inot it.
Thanks Goran, reviewing the PDF invoice it seems there is a charge for the temp line I was given before I got the sim card to move my number over. Would you know why I was charged $9 for that and then an additional $1.30 for my number?
So you’re typically charged from the day of setup, to the day you receive your sim card. It’s almost as if it tried to not charge you for those days, but then did anyways. I’ll flag a rep to look into it. You should be credited those days if you do get charged.
If you look on Pages 3 and 4, you should see the data range the lines are charged for.
So for your 905 number you have a prated charge for 1 day (June 7).
For the $9.10 for the 742 number you were charged for 7 days (at $1.30 per day). You should see a data range that amounts to 7 days on your pdf ebill
Thanks Dennis. What are the charges for? And will this be a reoccurring charge each month?
It should be just proration for the your monthly plan.
If you post a full screenshot of page 3 or 4 of your detailed pdf ebill (personal info covered) we can explain in more detail for you
Hello Dennis, sorry for the late response. Please see below images from each page:
Yes this is a exactly what I thought. It is proration starting on May 31 for 7 days.
Ok and sorry do you know what are the charges for? I’m not sure if I understand what needs to be pro-rated and why. And will this be a reoccurring charge each month?
The charge is for the service from May 31 to June 6. Hence a pro-rated amount amount of your monthly plan.
It is indeed as @Goran and @Dennis mentioned, these are pro-rated charges for your rate plan. Great job guys!
When an account gets activated, it has a billing cycle start date automatically assigned to it. The activation date can be before or after the said bill cycle date.
In your case, the line was activated before, so you see the charges from the moment of activation May 31’st to the end of the billing cycle + the period in advance. This occurs only once for activation or a rate plan change, in the case that there is a price difference.
The link provided by @Dennis provides a detailed look into most details of the first bill.
I’ve included more details in a private message as well !
