Hi @Huang

We have looked into it and we can see there was a price increase notice on the January bill.

The notice can be found on page 1 with details on page 5.

We recommend checking the available plans in self serve. Most of the plans are eligible with a pre-authorized bank payments discount

Hi there,

Are you currently on a 2 year contract or do you own your device and are on a month to month?

If you download the full pdf bill from your self serve for the previous month, it should outline a notice of the price increase. It will be in smaller text so I suggest you check this. Steps to do this can be found in the link.

I’m was also on the same $20 that got bumped to $27/mth this month.  I’m not please Koodo didn’t send out an email to inform of this change but rather choose to put in on the bill in a small fine print on the last paragraph of the bill.  Pretty sneaky if you ask me.  For people who are on month to month plans that don’t expect this to happen, no one is going to look at their bill every month to read through this.  That’s almost a 50% increase.

I’m also not happy the wording which says “you changed your plan” when in fact I didn’t change my plan, it’s the same plan and it was Koodo that changed the princing.

NOT A HAPPY CUSTOMER

The only time that it can happen is if you are on month to month. If you are in a tab contract, telecoms are not allowed to change increase the rate of your plan.

The complaint has been that there is no notification. Based on the wireless code, written notification is all that is needed and they is what is provided in the detailed pdf ebill. In the past certain customers said they didn't see email notifications or text notifications and they can also be blocked or gone to spam. But the detailed pdf ebill can not be blocked

Time to switch. I’m tired of how Koodo treats its long time customers.

Note that any carrier without an explicit price guarantee increases prices on plans over time.
