Merchant Receipt

Do you provide a detailed receipt when I pay my monthly phone bill online? Something that shows the MERCHANT receipt number/transaction number (in addition to my account number), amount, paid, date, method of payment. Similar to when you make a purchase in a store an you receive an itemized receipt from the merchant.

The emailed receipts that show no information other than the amount paid, are insufficient for our needs, and we will potentially need to switch providers. The account history section doesn’t offer a merchant transaction number, is there anywhere else we should be looking?

Check your detailed PDF bill in Self Serve (pages 3-4) for transaction breakdowns including amounts, dates, and payment methods. For merchant receipt/transaction numbers, log into your bank’s online banking or app; search transactions for “Koodo” or “Telus” to see full merchant details like ref numbers. Emailed receipts are basic summaries only. No separate merchant receipt from Koodo.

Do you happen to have the prepaid service?

If so then the only receipt you receive is the one via email as it is a subscription service. As it is is not a bill, it wont have the information you need. Koodo also do not offer merchant receipts for this similar to other subscription providers. 

If you have the monthly postpaid service this will have a detailed PDF bill as Robert describes. If this is the case, you can find it by following the steps below.
