Koodo Stream+ charges being reversed by koodo

I just got an email from koodo today that my stream+ cc payment was declined.   Upon checking with my cc, it shows that koodo charged then initiated a reversal at the same time.    Card is valid until 2027 and has been working fine for a year already.

i re-entered the same card number, now i have double charges for the same bill

Hi there,

so to confirm is you credit card showing the following:

  1. Charge for stream plus
  2.  A refund for stream plus

And then you entered the card again, and then

  1. received a new charge for stream plus

As if that is the case, seems it was a weird payment glitch but in that case once the charges are then processed you would have only been charged once as the refund will cover the first charge. Or am I understanding incorrectly? As it may just take a few days for your credit card balance to update.

Here is the sequence

  1. Charge for stream plus (KOODO STREAM PLUS @8:14am)
  2.  A refund for stream plus (KOODO SUBSC @8:14am)

And then you entered the card again, and then

  1. received a new charge for stream plus (KOODO STREAM PLUS @9:32am)
  2. received a new charge for stream plus (KOODO SUBSC @9:32am)

When i check my old charges they all come in to this same CC as:  KOODO STREAM PLUS EDMONTON AB

Update just now:

I updated to another CC and the same thing happened.   Charge + Refund.

Is there something going on ?

Just to double check, was one of the charges refunded?

Based on the details we see one our end, there is no charge yet showing for today.

Yes, they are all charged then refunded at the same time.   I used 2 different CC already

It seems the system is trying to withdraw the payment as today is the payment date. 

Are you able to contact the bank in the meantime to see if they can provide more details about the reason why the payment was rejected on the credit card that was already attached and that worked for the previous payments?

We will try to find out in the meantime from our end if there is any reported issue with the Stream+ payments.

i did contact the bank.   according to them the transactions were all initiated at Koodo, including the refund.
