Koodo Steam+ charges reversed - not by the bank

As at least one other customer has reported, my Stream+ payment was taken from my bank account (I pay with a VISA debit) and then immediately reversed. I have confirmed with my bank that the reversal was done at Koodo’s end, not at theirs.

I did find this thread: 

Reading through it indicates that there is a glitch happening at koodo. I am hesitant to put my card info in again since this customer had issues with being double charged. Please advise?

Hi there,

I recall the post, I agree seems things may not be working right atm. If you want, I can flag a rep on here to see if they can look into things similar to the previous post?

To confirm though is there any other charges from Koodo showing up or did the charge and refund only happen the one time so far?

The charge and refund has only happened once, yes. I have not attempted to update the card in my account since it’s the only one I have.

We understand that you are concerned about double billing, however, this shouldn’t happen once the first payment go through.

Can you please log into your self serve account in incognito mode on your browser and try updating the payment details?

I have re=entered the same card details that were already there, and the charge has gone through to my bank account. I will check it later on to confirm that there aren’t any further charges/refunds that shouldn’t be happening.

I have the stream+ basic with koodo. Just received an email telling me that they'll now charge me for Netflix premium account which wasn't even part of the package. I see the plan it still says its basic what do I need to do to fix this.

On your netflix account, did you upgrade to Netflix premium?

I see someone else also has the same issue.  You might want to continue on that post as it fits your issue more closely

 


@Dennis no i did not upgrade on Netflix account. For some reason when the stream+ basic account was reactived after my card declined, it automatically upgraded itself. I was able to change it to standard in my Netflix account. Thanks
