I received a call from Koodo rep and an offer for telus security camera. All charges were to be on my Koodo bill but I see Telus has mailed me an invoice. What’s up with this?
Hi there,
They were incorrect. Telus smart home security is a separate bill through Telus as it is a service through them, not Koodo. Even though they're under the same umbrella, they're billed separately.
Well that is interesting. I see your point though…
I will call Koodo in the morning just to clarify as I am to get this service at no cost to me. I was to see a credit on my Koodo bill equaling the monthly invoice from Telus. The invoice I received in the mail that I had expected on my Koodo account. LOL
Thanks Oliver
No problem this is common in sales to get you to buy more products. This is done by say giving you a credit on your koodo bill if you upgraded your phone. This would off set the difference of paying the Telus bill that you would recieve. So you pay the same amount to Telus, but the koodo rep takes the same amount off your koodo bill "making it no cost".
Just be aware that the smart home security services are also a 3yr or 5yr commitment and if you try to break the commitment early you will be subject to fees. Make sure they clarify those details as well.
Good info… Thanks so much… :)
