I have been a Koodo customer for many years and have 3 phones on my account. Until recently I have always paid for my monthly Koodo account bill before the due date with a pre-authorized credit card, but starting in October I was encouraged by Koodo to switch my monthly auto pay to a pre-authorized bank payment instead of using a credit card so I proceeded to make the change. My next bill payment after making this change was withdrawn from my bank account on October 28. Since my billing cycle is the same every month I was led to believe that all my subsequent pre-authorized bank payments would be taken from my bank account on or about the 28th of every month, or within 1 or 2 days of this date depending on the month. However, to my surprise the following month’s bank payment was taken by Koodo 7 days sooner on November 21 but was then rejected by my bank as I did not have sufficient funds in my bank account yet on that early date. The bank notified me of this unusual situation and I immediately transferred the funds into the account, but the bank still charged me a $45 NSF fee and now I see on my current mobile services account bill issued 2 days ago that Koodo has also charged me a $50 bank NSF charge. I would like to request Koodo’s Customer Service team to kindly review this charge and on this occasion only could you please consider refunding this $50 fee with a credit to my account since this was a very unique situation that has never occurred before on my account history. Now that I am aware of the possible earlier timing for a monthly pre-authorized bank withdrawal going forward I will ensure the required funds will always be available in my bank account to make all future monthly payments on the day when Koodo proceeds with the pre-authorized bank payment. Thank you.

Issues After Starting Pre-Authorized Payment From My Bank Account

In their official page, they mentioned the withdrawal date is approximately 15day before the billing date though. https://www.koodomobile.com/en/help/setting-pre-authorized-payments?
Credit cards typically provide a better buffer for withdrawals. However, checking accounts usually do not include overdraft protection by default
Anyway, for billing dispute, you have to contact Koodo directly and ask a rep to look into it. Hopefully someone can help you over there. You could go here www.koodo.com/chat and schedule a call back from them
