I am currently in BC going to Vancouver Island, since I am near the USA I got a message saying welcome to the USA and that my phone is roaming. I really hope that I don’t get charged for roaming because I am NOT in the USA. Please help, thank you (:

From your description, it was just an sms about the accidental roaming. I recommend you wait until there was a report of actual roaming fee showing up in either usage or your bill. A rep should be able to revert the fee for you.
Generally, accidental roaming happened when us cell tower signal stronger than Koodo signal. To avoid it, you can try to disable automatic carrier selection and manually select Koodo. it might help in certain cases.
