I left Canada with a inactive account and auto top off deactivated now i got a charge for it

I checked before i left canada now i got a charge for auto top of WHICH I NEVER EVEN HAD ACTIVE. The chatbot is no help at all. I am outside of Canada by now and i am not ready to pay the fee for international calls. What can i do?

Are you on prepaid?

If you have auto top off deactivated then Koodo would be unable to take money from you

Are you a prepaid or postpaid customer? As of now, do you have access to your selfserve and check the payment method?

I am a prepaid customer and I have access to my self-service account. I paid once with a card but removed it immediately afterwards. It is not displayed in my self-service account either.

Do you see an active baseplan when you login to your self serve?

To cancel a prepaid account, you just need to stop Auto Topups and once no baseplan is active for 90 days it will cancel itself

I stopped auto top-ups, but money was still debited from my account and my base plan was extended.

I would prefer to get my money back and have the base plan canceled, as I don't use it and don't want to pay for something I neither need nor can use.

Could you please double‑check the payment method to confirm whether the card was still on the account?

Also, can you review the payment history in Koodo to verify if the top‑up withdrawal occurred after the date you removed the card??

The auto top-up was debited, which surprises me, as I had already deactivated it beforehand.

I will flag a representative in the forum to see if we can get more information. However, support for prepaid customers here is limited. The most effective way to reach Koodo Prepaid is by scheduling a callback. If you have someone in Canada who can do that on your behalf, that may be the best option.
