high bill

Went to the USA recently turned on easy roam, because apparently you can use your phone just like you would at home. So made a few calls to Mexico I have 1000 international minutes including Mexico and then my hefty bill of 128 dollar overage charges comes what to do?

The add-on for the 1,000 international minutes only works for calls that are originally made from Canada. Since you are calling from abroad, roaming charges will apply. 

You can try to contact a Koodo rep to see if they can partially reduce the costs for you, but it is unlikely they will waive the fees.

The 1000min add-on doesnt transfer over while in the US so calls to numbers in Mexico would've incurred a payperuse charge of $1.65/min:
