Easy Roam travel pass for Europe bought once but keeps renewing.

Hello,

my wife bought an Easy Roam 30 day travel pass for Europe as we were cruising around Europe. We understood that it would activate as we reached England and used the phone there and it did. We also understood it would expire after 30 days and that if we were to use the phone after this we would be charged the Easy Roam daily charge.

The problem is that a new charge for a 30 day Euro travel pass keeps being added to my wife’s monthly bill. We’ve been back in Canada for nearly two months. The October bill was really high, but we thought possible that we incurred some extra roaming charges, even though we tried to avoid these at the time. The November bill came in with another charge for a 30 travel pass and we haven’t been anywhere outside our hometown all month. This item seems to now be added to her monthly bill and there seems to be no way to remove it by ouselves.

The Self-Serve site suggested I used the Help Assist, but there is no option to cancel this pass and the AI Help Agent does not seem to know anything about doing this either. This appears as a line item on the bill, but it is not an add-on or an option that the site will let us remove.

Any ideas as to how to correct this?

The travel pass is typically added by customer by sending a SMS to a short code "7626". Can you doublecheck to see if someone/phone accidentally sent message to add the travel pass twice?

If no one did it, you could come back here and someone will flag a rep for you.

Hi ​@lukem55, if you’d like us to check the charges please log out then log in using the Self Serve credentials of the account in question as we’re not seeing any roaming charges for the account you’re currently signed in with.

Hello Dinh,

the SMS was only sent once for a trip starting in early September and ending mid-October. If by some mechanism it was added twice it might explain the much higher October invoice, but we don’t understand how it would have been re-added again later so that it would appear again on an invoice covering the early November to early December period. This is more than double her normal monthly invoice and the travel pass appears with absolutely zero usage on the detailed invoice.

Yes, we may need the help of a rep for this. I wasn’t sure if the local Koodo shop in the mall would be able to help, but I feared they may not be able to.

To the Koodo official Rep:

If I log back in using my wife’s self-serve credentials, how will I be able to refer to the current conversation? It would seem to me that I will need to create a new community user name at that point.
