My family is heading to the US for a week holiday. if I am reading it right if we do easy roam for all 7 days on both our phones we will be charged $12/day so $168 for the full week. If all we plan on doing is texting each other a handful of times a day doesn’t it make more sense to just do the pay as you go which would be 10$ each for up to 100 texts? am I missing something is there additional fees that I’m not understanding

If you only plan on doing some texting, then sticking with the PPU rate is a lot better. Make sure to shut off data roaming on all your phones. There are no other fees besides the PPU rates. You definitely want to watch out for data, as it’s pretty expensive, but at least not absurdly so. You can d things like download google maps for offline usage in the areas you’ll be in, and make good use of wifi where available.
