I am transit operator here on Vancouver Island. I just got message from koodo that I have been charge with easy roam for $16. I have not crossed border. I have been in canada the whole time but still got charged. I am worried if they keep charging me for this false roaming. I will get a huge bill in the end of the month.
Please help.
+4For cases of accidental roaming like that, Koodo will give you the credit once the bill is issued. I recommend you wait until the roaming fee showed up in your bill and come back here. Someone will flag a rep and they will process it for you.
To avoid this from happening again, make sure to manually select your network to Koodo, so that your phone does not automatically connect to a nearby U.S. cellular tower. You will need to do this every time you restart your phone.
